Offer TEXT part view

Jun 15, 2009 at 7:32 AM

I love this as an alternative to PaperCut (http://invalidlogic.com/papercut/) and hope that it's more actively developed. I was just wondering whether it would be possible to add a TEXT (alternative part) view to the program as this is really hard to get to with Outlook and the other default viewers (without viewing the source that is).

Keep up the good work.

Thanks

Hi Tim

I have checked in a "View source" option to SVN which will open the source of the entire message in whatever application is associated with ".txt" files. Whilst this isn't quite what you mentioned (viewing only one of the MIME parts), hopefully this should be enough for you?

I will provide a new release shortly.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks Rob, if I get time I'll have a poke around the source and add it if you like :)

Hi Tim

Thanks for your feedback.

The strange =0D characters you can see are down to the "quoted-printable" encoding your message is using. As you are viewing the source of the message this is correct that you should see these. I am planning to offer a "message inspector" view to the next release which will be able to display each (MIME) part of the message and display it as you would expect with the encoding decoded.

Thanks
Rob
